Multipurpose River -Valley Projects in India.

1. Bhakra Nangal Project: On river satlej in Panjab & Himachal Pradesh, highest in India (22.5m).
2. Kosi project: This project will serve Bihar & Nepal. The kosi river in Nepal, passes through Bihar and joint the Ganges.
3. Nagarjunasagar: Is a venture of Andhra Pradesh for utilizing water of the Krishna river.
4. Salal project: It has been built on river Chenab in Jammu and Kashmir. Purpose -Hydroelectricity.
5. Sardar Sarovar project: Gujarat, this is one of the largest river valley schemes in the India.
